Dr. Allison Kimble-Cusano (she/her) is a Research Specialist in the Impact & Practice program area of ICS responsible for promoting equity-focused professional empowerment of early childhood professionals, systems-level research, evaluation and technical assistance.
Dr. Kimble-Cusano has over twenty years of experience in early childhood as an educator, coordinator, consultant, and advocate. She is dedicated to creating equitable, accessible, high-quality, anti-bias early childhood programs for all children. Her research interests include mothering, racial-ethnic socialization, professional empowerment, and kindergarten readiness. She earned her EdD in Education Policy and Leadership with a focus on equity and antiracism from American University, her MS in Integrated Early Childhood from Southern Connecticut State University, and BAs in English and Psychology from the University of Connecticut. She resides in Connecticut.
