Making it Count: Early Math in the Classroom and the Community

Join ICS, EdVenture, and a distinguished panel of experts to explore the importance of quality early math experiences for children and the impact it can have on us all.
This event will celebrate the release of a forthcoming issue brief on the teaching and learning of early mathematics, written by Dr. Sandra Linder of Clemson University, followed by a panel discussion.

The panel will outline the developmental and cognitive needs of young children and how different players – including parents, early care givers, and the broader community – can support those needs, especially around early math development.

Immediately following the event, participants may explore the museum as part of “School Fund Night.” Edventure hosts this school fund night for children and their families to explore the museum after-hours at a reduced admission as a school fundraiser. Admission is $3, with $2 benefitting the child’s school.
