Our Vision

We envision every child in North and South Carolina reaching their potential to thrive due to mitigated health inequities and the promotion of effective health strategies.

What is the Carolina’s Collaborative

We are a coordinated pediatric health expert collaborative, providing an infrastructure of innovation, training, research and advocacy best practices, to drive scalable child public health solutions within the 8 pediatric residency academic regions in NC and SC.

The Carolinas Collaborative has 26 active members and 6 members at-large. It co-led by two members, one from North Carolina and one from South Carolina. Our current leadership is Ellie Erickson, MD from Duke University and Blakely Amati, MD from Prisma Health Upstate. The Collaborative is served by Coordinator Jackie Young at Prisma Health Upstate. You can reach them by emailing here.

Who we work with

The Carolinas Collaborative recognizes that residency is a powerful time for future physicians. Across these programs, over 550 residents and fellows are trained each year. The clinics affiliated with these programs see over 150,000 visits per year.

The Collaborative works with all 8 pediatric residencies across the Carolinas: 3 in South Carolina, 5 in North Carolina.
