As the VP of Communications, Katie Hammond, MPH (she/her) leads the strategy, management, and coordination of ICS’s external and internal communications, marketing, and branding.

Katie’s current and past roles focus on translating complex scientific concepts into accessible language and tools. Previously, Katie worked at Johnson & Johnson Health and Wellness Solutions Inc. as a Product Content Developer, assisting in the creation of websites and apps that support the health of patients with a variety of health concerns, ranging from smoking cessation and heart health to insomnia.

In addition to communications, she has experience in science communication, project management, public health, content development, and program development. She earned an MPH in Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of Michigan, with a focus on health equity, health communication, and global health.
