Dolores (Dee) Stegelin, PhD, is a Fellow with ICS. Dr. Stegelin is Professor Emerita of early childhood education in the College of Education at Clemson University where she has provided program development and leadership for 17 years. She is a member of the ICS Research Committee, a Research Fellow for the National Dropout Prevention Center, and on the Steering Committee for the US Play Coalition, headquartered at Clemson. Her research and professional experiences focus on public policy, international assessment and curriculum, the Reggio Emilia Approach, and family engagement. She has published three textbooks and numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and is active in NAEYC and ACEI advocacy organizations.
